Prologue:
Standing in front of the fountain Andrea stared at the ringing phone in her hand. She debated on answering it, on going back to Miranda's side, on staying with Runway. Shaking her head she smiled and tossed the annoying device into the fountain and walked away. She was reclaiming her life, reclaiming her individuality, destroying her career, and standing up for herself in just one simple act. She would not regret it.
For almost a year she allowed Miranda Priestly to dominate her life, her choices, her mind, Andrea was ready to move on. Her friends hated her because of Nate, her now ex-boyfriend, Nate hated her because of her job and who she had become, her family was estranged with the exception of her sister, and the only person she found she could count on was someone she couldn't figure out. Sighing Andy picked up her computer and started her search.
"Never again." she whispered the promise to herself as she clicked through the search results, "It is now time for Andy Sachs to be in control of her own life and destiny." she smiled a small smile, made her decisions and shut down the laptop, "My life... is my own."


3 years later...


Chapter 1:
"Nykkiii come on!" Angelina whined, "How often does a chance like this come along? It's Celine Dion! You know I love her, do it for me!"
"Fine," Nykhol said with a laugh, "Anything for you Lina you know this. Tell Celine.... I'll do it. Get me the song and set up some time after the next 2 weeks for rehearsals. I perform in 9 days. We need to make sure everything is ready for that first. Everything. I don't want any mishaps. The categories I'm nominated for are spread out. The first is towards the start of the program. I'll be seated somewhere with you. Double check with Stacey and Rachel on seating. Make sure the car is at the airport when we land. I don't want to take any chances of being seen. I want at least a day before they find me."
Angelina nodded and smiled slightly, "Are you ready for this... ALL of this?"
Chuckling Nykhol shook her head and stared at her sister, her eyes were shinning with love and compassion, "As ready as I could be. Both the Academy Awards and the Grammy's are coming up, the song I did for the soundtrack is up for nomination, I have two Academy nominations, performing at both now. I have the VMAs in New York in less than two weeks, the rehearsal will be held in New York. My face is going to be all over the news stands within days. I have to do it now, before everyone recognizes me."
"Ok. The car is waiting for us, the driver has the address, the keys are with Niko, he's already in Manhattan. He'll be at the house shortly. Celine's people will contact me. The windows on the car are darkly tinted as requested; everyone believes you are visiting friends in Japan. We should have at least tonight and most of tomorrow before anyone knows otherwise."
Nykhol nodded and slipped the ear buds back in her ears, turning her iPod up she closed her eyes to wait out the end of the flight.


Breathing in deeply the city air an hour later, Nykhol smiles, "I never realized how much I missed the smell of New York." she glanced at Angelina, "when was the last time you were here?" she asked walking over to the waiting car.
"About as long as you. What do you want to do tonight while you are still invisible?"
"I want to walk the city streets. Breathe in the air. Have a hotdog and hail a cab." Nykhol responded laughing. "We can do whatever you want. As long as you come with me."
Angelina nodded, "Always sis. You know that. "
The rest of the car ride was spent in silence, both women watching the city pass by through the windows. Soon they were entering a parking garage and Angelina was quickly on the phone, "Niko... yeah, we're pulling in...no....no.... yes, alright we'll meet you there."
Nykhol followed her sister into an elevator at the end of the garage, "How much am I paying for this place?" she asked when the door opened again to let them off on the top floor.
"Nothing actually. I purchased the building last year. The 2 floors were gutted and turned into what is now your place. The elevator we used has a key, only you and I will have that key. It let's out here. Go down the hall and you are now in your new foyer. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, 2 down here, 5 1/2 bathrooms, the kitchen is through the back there. Dining room and family room down and to the left. You have 2 storage rooms behind the kitchen and the office is through here." Angelina said pointing to a hall on the right.
"It's beautiful Lina. Thanks." Nykhol said smiling, "So where is your room?"
Angelina laughed, "Right down from yours of course! The rooms down here are sound proofed. The rooms upstairs are not. Our rooms are over here." Opening one of the closed doors Angelina moved into the room, "This is your room."
Nykhol stopped in the center of the room and looked around. The walls were deep maroon with gold and black accents, the carpet under her feet was black with a red and gold dragon perched on a cerulean blue pillow. There was a fireplace along the right wall decorated with pictures of Angelina and herself around the world and throughout their youth. The huge gold four poster bed was covered in black silk and pillows, "Lina, when did you do this? Oh my god I love this bed!" Nykhol exclaimed rolling around on the pillows.
"Niko did most of the arranging. I just gave them the designs and layout and of course the colors. You deserve this and so much more. I'm proud of you, sissy. Everything you need is here, you won't have to fight the masses unless you choose to. So... I'm down the hall, I'm going to shower and change and meet you back out in the foyer."


An hour later Angelina and Nykhol were walking down the street seamingly blending in with the other pedestrians walking about. Angelina was pointing out different places she remembered from her time in New York when someone slammed into them. Startled, Nykhol lost her balance and fell backwards onto the ground. "Ow. Damn that hurt." she mumbled.
"Oh my god, I'm sorry." a frantic redhead was saying looking around behind her.
"Don't worry, she's ok." Angelina said smiling at the frantic woman. "Where are you headed in such a hurry?" she asked her, turning to her sister.
The woman finally looked at them and gasped looking at Angelina, "Bloody hell... A... Andy?" she said her face pale as if she'd seen a ghost.
Nykhol watched as Angelina's eyes widened and flashed to her briefly. Turning around she stared into the shocked pale blue eyes before her, "Em... Emily." she said voice barely higher than a whisper.
